TOEICの点数は800〜900点取れるが、日常会話がさっぱりできないという日本人は少なく無いと思います。TOEICの点数があるのに話せない人は、「音読」と「日常英会話表現」が圧倒的に不足している可能性が高いです。

What would you think what daily English expression is? It is those expressions which you never learn from TOEIC texts. We can call them kind of slang.


たとえば、「Tough break」TOEICが900点ある人でも知らない人が多いのでは無いでしょうか。
Would you know the meaning of "tough break"? I do not think that  a person who have 900 TOEIC score know it, am I right?


意味は「残念、不運だね」です。日本語でいうドンマイです。
＊英語で「ドンマイDon't mind」は日本語のドンマイとは意味が違うので注意です。
The meaning is "That's bad".



上記のような表現はTOEIC向けの教材では絶対に出てきません。映画やドラマ、ツイッターもしくはWebサイトから学んで行く必要があります。日常英会話表現を知らないと映画やドラマは理解できません。
You never ever learn those expressions from TOEIC texts. You can learn from American flicks, Twitter or Website. If you do not know daily English expressions, you are not abele to understand them.
